Mystic Waters
Unusual light at sunset along the shore of Mono Lake, California.

Hmmmm. yeah. Looking again, I think I may have overdone the blues up top. Darn web-posting. Oh well. Let me know what you think.

This has to be one of the nicest Mono shots I have seen. The streak of red in the brooding sky, fresh snow, perfect reflection, detail throughout.....you get the idea. I don't think the blues are overdone....looks good on my (uncalibrated) monitor.

Aside from the the obviously excellent composition, what really stands out to me is the clarity and crispness. Pretty fricki'n cool!

Wonderful sharpness and colors. Perhaps a little blue up top, but not distracting. For me, where the foreground rocks and the background overlap it seems busy and a little distracting, like there is too much going on. I like the image overall though.

I don't know about this one, Marc, it seems all a-jumble to me. I like the idea, your work on it is excellent as usual but I'm not feeling any flow in the comp.

Huge range of opinions as usual folks. Thanks for your imput. There's not much flow to the comp. I didn't think I'd keep it at first, but I later realized I actually liked the balance of subject matter and central light source even though it's not really grabbing you and pulling you in like many of my ultra-wides.
