Between a sporadic server and being on vacation for a week, I've not been able to post much lately. I've been leaving the house at 4:30 am and getting home at 11:00 pm, or later.
Here is a photograph I took Tuesday afternoon (or was it Wednesday??) looking up Falling Water Creek. The blend of spring color is as beautiful as I think I've ever seen it in the Ozarks this year. Thanks for looking, and for any comments or suggestions.
Wayne, I thought about Ortonizing my last post too - will try to repost when I get a little time...
I got a flat tire down near there today and was unable to get the dang tire off of the car (actually I was up near Ben Hur headed down that way but never made it - I found an air tank in a passing pickup truck and that got me down to Moore CCC camp and then back home again - thank goodness for the good old boys who still live back in these hills). It sure has been one wild and whacky spring out there - some things early and other late. Can't wait to see what April brings us!
Tim - I've always thought it would be a good idea to carry one of those air "pigs" in the back of my truck...sure beats changing a tire, especially if it's dark.
There seem to be isolated pockets of almost dead winter - like around Sweden Creek where the oaks still think it's winter. Then there are places where the redbuds are past peak - almost leafed out just a few miles away Wild and whacky is right!

Bill,
I like that mix of new color and new green touches here and there. Great shot! Well framed, good BG, good depth. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful Bill, and the decision to Ortonize looks like a good one! I really love the saturated color palette of this scene. Print this on a nice canvas and you wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't a oil painting! Great job on this one.
This is very nice, Bill. And a great choice for Orton. It's a great representation of the "new-ness" of Spring. I'm glad you found time to get the camera out of the bag. Well done.
