I-70 tunnel in Colorado closes to repair crack

The eastbound tunnel near Hanging Lake will be closed by CDOT for repairs. They don't know how long the repairs will take. For those making travel plans to western Colorado via I-70, this may increase your travel times. See linked article.

If you ever drove through Glenwood Canyon in the thousand years it took them to complete the tunnels and road reconstruction/reconfiguration, just think back to those "good" ol' days to get some sense of what's in store. Shouldn't be too bad, not enough to really alter travel plans, I'd guess.

I just came through there, slows you down about 10 minutes, and I got stuck behind 2 semi's. I think it is really going to depend on how much traffic you have in front of you.
