Spring has sprung...
Finally had a chance to get out and do some shooting. This is an old building in Monterey called Marshes Oriental Shop; it's a landmark in Monterey, been around for over 75 years. The last 8 years or so its been slowly deteriorating, shop closed up and moved out about 10 years ago. A new owner is putting lots of money into remodeling the building, inside and out, and lots of new exterior paint, very nice to see. I really liked the color of the wall, the black tiles, round window and blossoming cherry tree; couldn't pass it up.

These old landmark buildings have a lot to offer in the way of art in photo, painting, sketches, etc. In this case the design, color scheme, and the single tree all come together to make a really nice scene to be captured. A very nice image here, Reno.

Great portrait of the tree and it's surroundings! I really like this and I think it would work well as both color and b&w.
