60 shots  I've only ever managed 2 in total and they were both blurred with the constant movement of these. Well done and a killer image indeed. What I'd give to get 60 shots at one of these

Looks good Brian.
I'm another who's never seen this bird.

BTW you surely took this at f8 and not f4, either that or you've suddenly gotten some monsterous glass

Great shot - you deserve some success out of sixty shots. Never seen one either

yep, hard to see these and I guess like lots of small flight birds they are a nightmare to photograph - only had a couple of attempts at Goldcrests and got nowhere with them as like you say they have ants in their pants the whole time, so although there are some nits (i.e. the branch on right) overall this is a damn good capture, lovely and sharp!

I find blackbirds difficult :frown: I haven't even tried with the Goldcrests in my garden. Obviously perseverance is the key and well rewarded if this shot is to go by. Excelent.

Yeah David perseverance is the way that's for sure, i was standing next to ivy bushes with a twisted neck following it around for about 6 hours to get this shot, but i was quite happy with it in the end.
