"In our May 1st issue of Double Exposure, we will run a how-to story entitled, "Double Exposure Challenge: Landscape, Scenic & Travel." We are looking for readers' images to illustrate this feature. You can submit anything that says "scenic" or "travel" in a creative way. Use your imagination!

You don't have to be a member of PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM to enter this competition. If your image is chosen, it will appear in the "Scenic, Landscape & Travel" story or in any accompanying gallery, and if you are a member of PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM, we'll extend your membership by 3 months. If you're not a members, we'll give you an introductory PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM membership for 3 months. (PLEASE NOTE: We can only extend 3-month memberships or award new 3-month memberships for a maximum of twice a year to each photographer who is a winner in this contest.)

By entering our Double Exposure Challenge, we are also offering you the opportunity to be published on a broader scope. We will consider some of the best entries for possible inclusion in one of a series of PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM books that will be published in the near future.

Our Requirements
As with our previous monthly Double Exposure Challenges, you can submit up to five of your best entries. They must be jpegs, 500 or 600 pixels on either side of the image, and 72 to 100 dpi. (We would rather work with images that are too large, rather than too small.) Submit your entries by Clicking Here.

The deadline for "Landscape, Scenic & Travel" entries is Monday, April 23, 2007. Employees of PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM, Double Exposure, and regular contributors to either site are not eligible.

Best of luck! We look forward to seeing some awe-inspiring images."

Hey, Keith,

Darned if I know if it's worth submitting the image to the site. I'm certainly not a judge nor am I connected with the site in any way. They appear to handle submissions for a Nikon contest that I recently entered and the site looked interesting. I didn't look that closely at the rules and regulations.

I know that about four years ago when picture.com selected one of my photos to print in a coffee table book, I was tickled pink; that in spite of the fact that I realize the site primarily wants contestants to pay for books, trophies, etc.

So, I suspect there are many of us who would be delighted to have a photo published even on-line.

I think that's an individual decision that each of us have to make.

My 2-cents.
