Another Daff L'scape for critique
OkayÉ I'm ready for the next round of my "learning experience."

Another daffodil field from the Skagit. Got this one by standing on the roof of the car (AFTER I checked the load limit in the car's manual!).

D200 handheld with 70-200/2.8 + 1.4x converter for focal length of 210 mm. Polarizer. f22, 1/125ss, ISO100. Underexposed when shot; corrected with levels in PSCS.

Critique is welcome. Thanks for your interest.

my only nit is that I wish the irrigation ditch were better defined as a curvy line leading through the image. as it is, I found myself distracted for a bit, trying to figure out why the field was sectioned off.

I'm not fond of the ditch either - took me a moment to figure it out at this size. With a higher perspective (probably not possible) the S curve would have been a better lead to the background. Also, the color and light appears pretty flat. My suggestion would be to try coming back around this area at first or last light, just as it kisses the tops of the flower fields would be awesome. The initial underexposure shows up in the failure to regain details in the URC.

Or maybe get rid of the background altogether ??

Yes I would crop the BG, boost the exposure and bring a ladder next time

I don't stand on my car roof, maybe my truck bed, but if I stood on my Honda's roof I would have a sleeker car for sure! Actually a ladder for these types of shots is a good accessory (and a ball head mounted some way on it)...

Phil, you just gave me justification for spending the $3,000 for a 6" lift kit on my truck!
