I know this has been brought up here already, but for anyone who hasn't seen it, the photo contest win by Marc Adamus is now available online here along with other winners/finalists.

I do happen to have one question for Marc if he sees this - it says you can submit 5 photos. Did you submit any others and they picked this one?

Anyway, congrats again...

Congrats Marc!!! Always exciting to see someone receive the recognition they so duly deserve. That is a great shot. That shot alone has me yearning to photograph Crater Lake again.

You know, the funny thing is that image looks dead-on perfect on their website but dosen't even come close in the mag. The color was printed too warm in the double-page spread IMO, but I didn't get too many comments about it, so it's probably just me being picky.

Thanks

Congrats again Marc! I've checked the web version and remember my awe the first time I saw that image, amazing! I'm going to enjoy watching your career (and images) evolve, I really respect the quality of your body of work already (at 27 is it?)!

I recently experienced the same reaction to an image printed with my first article in Nature Photographer magazine. The lead image had a major shift in the warm golden tones. The CMYK conversion really changed the dynamics of that image for sure.

Congratulations! :toast:

I'm famous by association!
If you do a Google search for "Marc Adamus" on about the third of fourth page, his name and my name appear on the same line!
I haven't seen this translate into any sales or EP's or contest winnings yet but I'm sure it sure can't hurt, eh?
