Hare season is here! Great!!
One from this evening-7.00pm
I was sat for an hour by the side of a field where I have permission to photograph from the Gamekeeper.
Several pairs of Hares were chasing each other around, doing some fantastic “Boxing” but at the very far end of the field.
However this guy stopped right in front of me for a quick brush up before chasing his lady.

Canon Eos 1DMK2N, 500mm lens +1.4, 1/800 sec, F5.6, ISO 400, ( high ISO as I hoped to get some boxing action and could not change to 200 when He stoped as the Hare was only about 30ft away.)

Really good Gary. I must try to get out soon and find some Hares. Your piece in EOS mag. was inspiring too.

Hi Gary,

I've been photographing hares for the past couple of months so I know how tough it is to get great shots like this. Well done. Great light, clear view, lovely pose with the turn-of-head, and the behaviour is a real bonus. :toast:
