Just Pinecones
An intimate shot of Jeffery pine cones near Mono Lake, California. This is exactly how I found the scene. Look harder and you can see last year's cones underneath the needles.

Thanks for looking.

This is a great assortment of cones, Marc - I like the image very much, and only goes to show one what can be easily missed if they simply do not look at their feet.

The detail in incredible, and I am willing to bet this will make a fine print.

Great intimate shot Marc. I like the hints of blue, but it it due to open shade or do the cones have a touch of frost too?

I keep coming back to this and it's a great pinecones assortment, well composed with nothing too big, and great soft colors... but, is there some distortion here from a super wide angle. I feel the middle may be bulging a bit, I would run it through PT lens just to see what happens.

Tell you the truth, I don't know what to think of it. I kind of like it but it makes me think it should be a center piece on a dinning table.

I think it would make really hard puzzle.

You know, Eric, I actually have my own lines of puzzles (Masters of Photography) through Masterpieces, the world's largest manufacturer. Thank's for the tip! I think I want to use some more eye-catching images though. You can go down to Target right now and buy a 1000-peice version of "Ocean's Fury".

It's due to the open shade and my choice of color balance in RAW processing.

Excellent detail and color rendtion. Sometimes/oftentimes it pays to look at our feet. Would look good in a Sierra Club calendar ( if they would just start accepting digital files :frown: ).

I know! It's totally ridiculous. That's still one of the most shocking and idiotic things any publisher is doing in the present day. They have no justification for it at all.
