One for Mark Sellings!
This is precisely the trouble with primes..... couldn't move anywhere or remove the 1.4x, so full-framed it for Mark to appreciate

A bit frustrating really as I haven't any shots of a Starling except this one :frown:

Beautiful birds though

Thanks for any comments

I like the full-frame.There's space on the RHS for him to look into, plus the objects in the BG(i guess they are flowers)are spot on in the frame to compliment the position/pose of the bird.Plus the detail and perch are very nice aswell.

I love this one

Very nice Graeme - only nit is the tightness of the bottom of the frame, otherwise a superb shot of a very underated bird :toast: :toast: :toast:

LOL

Wouldn't worry Graeme as its yet another stunner - beautiful detail, colours, exposure, sharpness, bg etc - technically 100% and I won't even bother mentioning the tightness as you've already said you were stuck - what I'd give to have the problem of being stuck with a 500mm lens

:toast: :toast:

cheers

In the right light, when you get the greens and purples showing, these are really attractive birds and you've definitely got that here. I don't mind the tight framing here although a tiny bit more at the bottom would be nice.
