I usually don’t take bird pictures but couldn't resist this shot taken on a walk along the Red Cedar Trail earlier in the week. We had 80 degree temperatures several weeks ago but on this morning it was 14 degrees. The first swallows of spring were huddled on a small bush with their backs to the sun. They allowed me to walk within 15 feet before they flew off. When I returned about 20 minutes later they were all back on the same bush.

Awwwww...poor birds! I have had a Robin coming onto my patio several times yesterday, looking for food and water. I only hope, for their sake, that this cold spell doesn't last very long.
