Okay, here goes...
I love this composition. I'd probbly like the image better if it was a slightly slower shutter speed to show a little more detail in the water. Otherwise, I wouldn't be sorry to say this way my image.

Linda,
do you mean a faster shutter speed....if I were to slow it down any more, the water at the bottom would lose its detail.....
does the comp work for ya? I cropped it this way to get rid of some junk around the scene!
Dosen't really do it for me, Darren. But don't take it to heart. I'm just a little jaded. I've seen WAY, WAY too many intimate stream shots in my life that are very similar, but I recall when I was just starting out I was fascinated by them. There's nothing wrong technically or compositionally with this image, it's just not very dynamic, and there's nothing real special here that would separate it from a million others IMO. That might be where the lack of comments is coming from.

Thanks Marc, thats exactly what I am looking for...
Darren, my buddy and I took my Dad up the East Fork Friday. He logged up there when he was, as he puts it, "just a punk kid." it's one of his favorite rivers (and mine too for that matter). Unfortnately we were up there in that nice harsh mid-day light so we didn't get any good shots. Getting Dad out in the woods was the priority that day.
Anyway, I like this. my only nit is that I wish you had included more of the turquoise/jade-colored water either above or below the falls. This looks like that falls just below Multon... I can't think of the name of it right now... grrr... :)
Yeah, Darren, I like the way you caught the cascades over the rocks. Good ss to get the texture there. But then there's a lot of whited-out space created by the churning water all around. That sort of detracts; and I wish there was more of that marvelous glacier blue color in the frame. I hope you keep working this area. It looks like a great stretch of river.
