Glossy Starling take 2
Hi All

Been playing with this image this morning. What do you now think to the crop now?

A massive improvement IMO Kevin. Totally different image and a lot more pleasing to the eye!Could possibly shave a bit more from the left as the head is pretty central. Just my opinion though.

I've had a bit of a play and done a few adjustments. Probably overcooked it a bit and you'll notice a bit of a sharpening halo around the perch. I've also slightly increased the size as you posted it at 600pix. Made it slightly bigger in the frame which won't please some people  but it's a lovely image.
Also noticed you posted with a Adobe RGB colourspace. Apparently if you convert to sRGB and then use Save for web, it dumps the Exif data and your image size is full of colour detail, as opposed to exif data.

Hope you don't mind me playing...i've deleted it (not before selling it though  )

Edit: Actually I reckon it's too big in the frame and a bit unbalanced. Needs more on top and less at the bottom IMO looking at it now, but you get the gist of what I was trying to illustrate. Shouldn't really do this when in a rush to go out

Just had a look at your website kevin. Some superb images on there, particularly your South African trip. :toast:

Hi Graeme & Graham thanks for the comments. Graeme thanks for the colour space info and for having a play. I think i can crop a little more on the left hand side. Your version is a little on the light side for me, but its great to have another photographers thoughts. Also thanks for the comms on my web site. The images on yours are also very very good. I have just set up my 1st wild bird feeding station and i'm looking forward to working with it!
regards
Kevin

Hi Kevin

This is a big improvement. Agree that a small crop on LHS will improve it even more.
