I had a few days free as my wife went to AZ with my son for a week. The weather has been terrible up here in Estes and not conducive to photography for days. On Friday I had had enough, jumped in my car and left town. Here is a link to a few photos I took when the clouds and crowds weren't in the way. I arrived on Friday night just before sunset and then left after sunset last night.
I hear ya, buddy. Looks like you found some sun and made some great photos, too. Well done.

I feel your pain. I tried to get out today and get some of the frost-laden trees/bushes. The flog closed in and it started snowing, not a lot of contrast. Maybe next weekend!
Nice collection of shots for a quick weekend!

Great images! I really like the black and white image.
Hi Erik - Nice work there. Looks like you got the good light! I know what you mean about the weather around here. After three weeks of cancelling trips I went to Buena Vista, Chalk Canyon and St Elmo Friday. Thought the weather would be better over there. Lasted about an hour and then the peaks got socked in again! Guess I should have kept going west.

Very nice collection of images, Erik. Even if the weather wasn't ideal, it looks a lot more photography-friendly than what we had here. Good choice to head south. I really like the "Golden Arch" shot - great sky and some nice light!

Nice shots Erik! I like the cloud cover in many of the photos.
Nice shots Erik! After that little taste, whenever you're ready to take a bigger bite out of Canyon Country just let me know. I head over to the Plateau 5 or 6 times a year and am often looking for a road-trip partner.
On the other hand, in the heat of summer (still unfathomable in the current freeze) your haunts sound a lot more appealing...
