This from the Canadian Rockies this past Winter. The peak is Mount Chephren, 11,000 feet. I actually forded the river to get this pespective. Thankfully, the clouds cooperated.

like how the water flows towards the mountain taking your view up there - needless to say, technically and compositionally - flawless. I'm just wondering if you cropped that snow covered rock on the river - would it be any better or rather worse

I feel that my eye is drawn up to the mountain more in this one because of the contrast with the clouds. However the rest of the scene looks a little bit less interesting than in the color version. Also to me the rock in the bottom left corner stands out more and is a little more distracting in this version. Both versions are beautiful for different reasons but overall I would have to go with the color one.
Jeez, Marc, it's awesome and it's your usual well done but I think I'm wow-ed out. I like it but it's almost "Oh, yeah, another awesome shot from Marc". I might go for more of a Black and White version rather than this blueish and white.
all on its own...its pretty awesome. The cliffs on that mountain are really nice and detailed.
How do you feel about the leaning trees on the edges of the frame? I dont mind them but am kind of suprised you left them in/that way. Probably a trade off between losing some of the frame if you were to fix the perspective.
Another excellent shot Marc. If i had to be super nit picky, I would want to see the whole mountain without the small cloud on the top. Didn't your feet get cold? I think I remember you saying the temp was around 10 degrees when you were in this area.
