Rook chasing a Heron
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 600mm non IS, 1.4x conv, G1548, G1321, full camo, f7.1, 1/1250, ISO 250, RAW, RSE, CS2, slight crop.

Hi All,

I was back over the meadows at first light, Barn Owl did'nt show neither did the little Grebe's, the Reed Bunting's were also being fairly elusive and not coming out of the bottom of the Reed's.

This Heron flew behind me up river, then on it's return it strayed a bit to close to the Rookery, this is the best shot out of about eight in the sequence.

All comments welcome

Regards

Rob

Hi Rob - nice one, but it looks a tad soft on my monitor.

Maybe a tad of selective levels on the rook and a bit of USM overall - or is my monitor only fit for the scrap heap :wavey:

Regards

Hi Rob,

Have to agree with the above comments. Shame really as it is a sight I've not seen, so thanks for posting. Maybe go back to the RAW image and reprocess it?

Cheers, Graeme

Great behavioural shot Rob. Looks like it would sharpen up fine to me. :toast:
