We have decided to go back to RMNP with a side trip to Mt Evans this June. We have stayed in Estes Park before so we plan to stay at the same place again, but we have never visited Mt Evans before. We will need a place to stay there for a couple of nights. Any recommendations?

Idaho Springs is the closest town. I've also seen lodging in cabins and such between Idaho Springs and Echo Lake, but I don't have any experience with them. You might try posting the question over in the RMNP regional forum...

Idaho Springs is the closest town. Other options are Empire, Georgetown, Bergen Park and Evergreen

I was at Mt. Evans last summer. Its a great place to photograph mountain goats. Be prepared, it gets a little crowded since it's a fouteener that allows you to drive to the top.

Thanks for the heads-up Josh!
I'm a Cades Cove regular so crowds don't bother me much. I just park the truck and hoof it. Most of the nimrods just stay in their cars.
