customizing PS web photo gallery

I have attempted to customize the web photo gallery to automate for my website. I can get it to partially work, but I can not my logo at the top of my page to show up (jpeg). I really need to find a way to automate the process of getting my images online, so that it is not a year between updates.
What is the best way to do this? Can anyone direct me to a tutorial that would help me out. I have tried searching for one but have not found one that was written in understandable "dummy" language.

Are there any other programs out there that you would recommend for automating this process that would allow me to keep the same look and feel of my website. I am using golive CS2 and my website is www.jwalkerphoto.com.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Jonathan,

I've had the same exact trouble both in Photoshop and Lightroom. I can create the pages, but can't add my nav bar to the page the way I want in Lightroom and can't add a logo in Photoshop. I build websites as part of the company I own, but I still haven't found an easy way to update my own image galleries.

Here's my solution: since I also use GoLive, I created a table system where I can easily add in more thumbnail images, then I just have to create a new page for the larger image. This works for me because I'm pretty fast at creating the pages thanks to doing it all the time.

I work on a Mac, or I think I might have seriously looked into some of the website gallery software out there that lets you customize your pages AND lets you easily update your galleries.

BTW, I've heard that Lightroom is going to work out some of the kinks in their web gallery features, so maybe that will help in the future. Of course, you're using PS, so this may not apply to you at all.

I really liked your galleries--full of beautiful images, very nice!

Such issues with usual higher end consumer software applications are a prime reason I decided to code my website in html myself so I would have full command over site updates, design choices, keep active my html programming skills, and be able to remove and reload the whole site to any hosting service without having to deal with the usual limitations of applications that regularly change and upgrade from companies that come and go. At least for those with some programming skills, a worthwhile choice, since html is one of the easiest programming languages to deal with. On the down side, some of the fancier features using Java, flash, and XML can be difficult to implement without resorting to some commercial aps. Note I have a considerable computer engineering testing background. ...David

Thanks for the replies so far. I do have templates set up in golive that make things easier. But being the lazy web builder, I like the idea of just a few clicks of an automated program.
