Moroccan fly
Hi

This was taken last week in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, beautiful place, until the torrential freezing rainfall made even the bulbuls shut up

I haven't identified the fly yet, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful.

Thanks for looking.

Mark

Haven't a clue Mark, but the colours are good. I think compositionally it seems unbalanced to me for some reason. Perhaps too close to the bottom?

Excellent detail...makes me want to go and buy a macro lens now

No idea on subject but tack sharp with bags of detail.

Again another interesting subject with lots of detail. Perhaps a little more space at the bottom if DOF permits. Looks like a species of hoverfly, but not a clue which one :frown:
