Parus caeruleus
Why is it that when I get one of my only images with a Blue Tit singing, do I have one that has a monocle mark over it's eye  Some type of scarring I suspect.

Never mind, thought I'd post it anyway. Taken in Devon. Apologies for lack of rarities, but still having a bash at feeder birds while I have the opportunity.

Comments appreciated as always

Graeme

Graeme,
Nice capture of the Patrick Moore of the Blue Tit world! A lovely portrait, and the open beak is a bonus. The colours look a little flatter than most of your posts, so maybe you could consider the increasing saturation and/or contrast a bit?

Colour looks fine on my screen Graeme - nice shot :toast:

I'd be tempted to crop slightly less just to give a tad more room at the bottom and to the left side - maybe crop to 75% or so - but that's just me nit picking

I like it :wavey:

Regards

Andy

A very well taken shot Graeme. The eye scarring doesn't detract at all.

Well done.

Very nice shot - and I don't think that it's a scar, the BT's just raising a quizzical eyebrow at the big lump of glass following it around...

Thanks for all the comments. Appreciate it.

Jeremy, I think they do look a bit flat and after trying to add some saturation, the colours start to get hot, especially the yellows so I assumed that it was just a particularly dull and flat bird  It certainly isn't as in good shape as a few of my other posts, but I agree with you. :toast:
