Tufted Duck Take-Off
I've had a shot like this pictured in my head for the last few weeks but hadn't managed to pull it off. This one was a surprise as I was concentrating on taking a nice side on portrait of the Tufted Duck when suddenly it was spooked, turned and flew straight at me!

Canon 500mm f/4L IS with 1.4x and 1D MkII N. ISO 200, 1/1000 sec. at f/5.6, -1/3EC, bean bag from bird hide.

Best wishes.

Well caught especially from a bird hide. Your patience paid off very nicely.
