Hello everyone,
I just registered for this forum because of all the talented folks who hang out here. I only hope that one day I can match the talent I see posted here on a daily basis.

I'll start off by asking for some feedback on this image I took this last fall near Ouray.

Ditto what René said. I love the transition from the warm colors at the bottom to the cool blues at the top. :toast:

Welcome to the group, Randy. That's some debut photo - the colors, detail and comp are all exceptional. The hints of red throughout lend an upbeat feel to contrast with the the moody weather. Really sweet all around. The images on your site are also very impressive. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Wow, this is very nice. I like everything here (colors, comp....). I think that this JPG is a bit over sharpened, but it's not a big deal. Extremely nice first post. Bring them on!

Great photo, I can't really offer any criticism. Lots of interesting elements: the creek, snow, fall colors, mountains, and clouds.

This photo has a certain "glow" to it that I really like. I love passing moments like this.

Wow, thanks everyone. I wasn't expecting this kind of response. I agree that it looks a little over sharpened, my Photoshop action for web use went a little overboard on it.
Thanks again.

Oh, yum!

Gorgeous warm fall colors and red mountains, dramatic clouds, some nice snow cover, and the rush of the creek passing through the bottom - all in one shot! Beautiful.

Great shot! I like how you've managed to pull out the red of the rocks, which goes nicely with the leaves and sky colors. I checked out your website... you've got a lot of awesome photos!

Welcome to the madness, Randy. The photo is just gorgeous. I'd love to see it in print!

BTW, the "unnamed" waterfall in your "Moab Waterfall" photo is locally known as Faux Falls.

I agree with all of the above. Great composition, you've got a little bit of everything. Rushing water, snow, fall foliage, red mountains, deep blue sky with interesting clouds. What isn't there to like about this comp?
