Today, before I went out shooting, I tried to format my card, the process got stuck in the middle of formatting so I tried to turn the camera off. It did not turn off so I decided to take the battery out and wait a while and then try again... After I put the batter back in I started to take pictures and I noticed the camera was loading the photos reallllllly slow onto the card.
I took about 80 shots and I can review them on the camera, but when I hook either the camera or the card to the computer it says the card is not formatted and asks if I want to do that....Well I don't want to lose the shots I have.
does anyone have any suggestions on how I might get the photos off the card without losing them..
any info you have is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Darren

I just came across an ad in the new issue of PHOTOSHOP USER:
photorecovery for digital media www.lc-tech.com.
Don't know anything about it
Darren - can you try loading the card into a card reader ?

Darren,
Check out the Luminous Landscape site. Go to his article about Antarctica. He mentions that a bunch of people had card problems but that someone had a program that recovered all the files. Of course, he's all over it and it's the best thing since sliced bread and it's changed his life.
