bathing sparrowhawk
taken today from 2 or 3 metres away, i was photographing a woodpecker from a hide when it froze. It was slowly edging around the tree away from me, keeping very still. I looked down over the lip of the hide to see this. it was very obliging even let me take my TC off to get some wider shots

Sparrowhawk city or what, interesting capture but I find the green streaky thing very distracting so I'd clone that out.
Nice one

Hi Jack,

I like the action but find the framing a bit tight for my tastes, also the light looks a bit harsh, but the eye contact and detail is good, maybe just a bit more sharpening as well?

Other than that a fine shot.

Great angle, eye contact and water movement - good stuff!
