Hey everybody
I just want to give a heads up that 6 of my large prints including 3 limited editions were stolen from my show at Colorado College (total retail value=$3225). I am really PO'ed at the moment. If anybody sees any thing on E-bay that looks like spectacular photographs from Colorado, Utah and AZ being listed I would appreciate a headsup. I will post the images here later.( they are on my home computer and I have to get some things done here at CC

Steve,

I am really sorry to hear this. Hopefully, your campus security department/local law enforcement can find the low-life(s) that did this.

Hang in there, my friend!

Sorry to hear this type of news. It amazes me that people have the nerve to steal something, especially something as large as this! Hopefully they will be caught and your work returned.

It saddens me more than it maddens me when someone shows me that you shouldn't really trust people. My wildest hope is that the thief feels remorse and returns the photographs. Nope, I still haven't learned my lesson...

That truly sucks, Steve. Does CC have any security cameras in the area? I hope you get them recovered soon!

 This is terrible news Steve. I hope you get the SOBs who did this. We will certainly be on the look out for these images floating around on the Internet. :frown:

Steve, were they framed and thus rather large and bulky? Someone carrying around something large may have been captured by any security camera in the area. You might inquire in case local police investigators haven't bothered. ...David

Steve, sorry to hear such a thing! I never thought something like this would/could happen. the only positive thing I could see in this, hope you don't get it wrong, is that I do understand WHY this prints were stolen. They are terrific!

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear about that. I know with artwork, it will feel really personal.

Did the college insure them? The last show I did with a college made sure everything was insured and was really strict about making sure titles, sizes, and prices matched what was on the wall.

If that was the case, I would have been thrilled if someone stole my whole show  I'd have some new equipment to play with.

Steve, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for any attempts to sell them.

Put some fliers up, kids like to talk. I have done gun shows, bike shows, and hunting shows, every time there has been a theft it has been the security people. Every time. I walked in and cought the "security" %*# seining fish out of a mobil trout pond we had set up in Atlanta . Dad lost a 33 foot show trailer one year and a 300 pound hitch the next in a fenced in "security" area with 24 hour "security" in the big easy. Pick up the paper in any large city today and there will be a story about a dirty cop. When we did big bike shows we hired hard core bikers as security, we NEVER lost one red cent. There was stuff on those tables that they would have loved to have but they never even took a t-shirt. Good people.

If the bikers had been there the photos would still be on the wall. Some of the last big gun shows dad did vendors were setting up video cams in hidden locations to keep an eye on the "security" people. If anybody wants a theif proof booth I have one and would be happy to tell you how I did it.
