Well, the day has finally arrived. I've been working on this for months and today I officially opened my gallery here in downtown Estes Park. I'll try to get some decent internal photos in the next day or two but in the meantime this one and the one on the link below will have to suffice. On Saturday evening from 7pm - 9pm I'll have a special Grand Opening reception. You're all invited! I hope you will all get a chance to stop by and say hello at some point this year.

A little more information.

Congratulations Erik! That must be a great feeling to have your own gallery. It looks like you've done a nice job inside. RMNP is one of my favorites places and I have several trips planned up that way so I'll be sure to stop by for a visit.

This is very exciting news!! I am absolutely thrilled for you! An eye-catching shop full of eye-popping images - sounds like a recipe for success to me, man.

Hope to see you Saturday night!

Erik, Congratulations on the opening! Can't wait to come up and see it "live". I think it is really cool that you documented the transforming process too.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!!

If any of you come up, you are welcome to spread out your sleeping bags on the floor of the gallery so you can get out for a morning shoot. Its warm and its dry. You may however be drafted into the cleanup crew on Saturday night. Considering what happened to Stephen, maybe I should offer this on a regular basis for security reasons.

I hope your new gallery is super successful. You certainly have the subject matter appropriate for the location. :toast: :toast:

Since you don't open until 10 AM, that should give you plenty of time for photography every morning.

Erik: Congratulations. Not only are the photographs an inspiration but watching your transformation over the last few years has been an inspiration. It's been very cool watching your skills as a photographer grow these last years on the board and culminating into a succesful venture. I will certainly be stopping by the gallery the next time I'm up in the park. Good luck and lots of sales to you.

Congrats Eric! It is amazing what some beautiful photos, some nice trim, and some mood lighting did for the inside of that place!

Congrats, Erik. Best of luck with the gallery. I have no doubt it will be wildly successful!

BTW, is there an extra room with a cot in the back for visiting photographers to crash prior to early morning starts in RMNP?

I just want to say "Thank You" to all of you who came up for the bash on Saturday night. It really meant a lot to me and made it a really fun evening. I'm not sure where I would be in my photography without the great people in this group. :toast:

Just wanted to add my congrats, Erik. I don't get up there very often, but will certainly stop in the next time I'm in Estes. Wishing you much success!! :toast:

Another round of congrats to you Erik!!! It turned out to be a great turnout of Rocky Mountain Nature Photographers on Saturday night! Now of course, that might not have been the best thing for Erik, as we know that the photographers aren't the ones to try to sell photography to!! HA!

But it was a great time, and Erik's place looks absolutely awesome!! He's done a great job with the place, it has a great feel to it!! And of course the imagery is awesome too! And I want everyone to remember, Erik has only been doing this for three years!!! Crazy!!

Here are some pics from that night: Erik's Gallery Grand Opening
