I've been searching for an older post I read a few months ago when I first became an NPN member, but I can no longer find it. Maybe someone will remember some better keywords to find it and point to it for me?

The post was about how to approach a gallery, how to show one's prints, whether or not to mat them to show the gallery, etc. This thread was really good, but I didn't know how to flag things then (now that I think of it, I still haven't figured flagging out!!), and I'd like to re-read it again.

I so appreciate any help you can give me if you can find that thread and share the link. Otherwise, I'm looking for ideas from experienced photographers on whether or not one should mat one's photos to approach a gallery, is there a preferred mat color or is it OK to mix colors, how big the prints should be, and what else one should leave behind (such as a bio or artist's statement), etc.

I know Bill Chambers is showing his work in a gallery and he may have been one of the main ones that answered that post. Email him, or perhaps he will see here and answer!
