Mount Adams
I shot this from halfway up Mount Washington on Wednesday, while hiking ahead of the snowtractor leveling the road. Snow and ice coated all the trees into a scene I had been waiting for all year.

I wish I had been there in earlier light, but alas...midday! How does the composition, contrast and light work for you???

Its beautiful, Jim. I think you used the light you were given to excellent advantage. I like the way the whole comp is moving left to right. Just enough cloud cover as well. I love it!

a nice shot in challegning lighting conditions - i like it a lot. Also the treeline makes a nice leading line into the scene. my only very minor comment would be to crop out a slice of the sky - it will help the mountains look like they are towering above you, rather than you looking down on them. nice shot, thanks for sharing!

Great shot. It's very pretty covered in snow. Looks like you still have quite a bit...and then there's that "April Noreaster" that's heading our way...

Love the bright blue sky, too!

Jim,

The comp is good and the light is good as well. The sky shows some very slight signs of your polarizer, but most people will never realize it. Over all I like it and when you give the time of day it is an outstanding effort.

Wow! I really like the powder on those tress, and the details on the mountain slopes. The lighting conditions actually give a different feel to this photograph, I believe you would've lost quite some detail during the golden hours.

the blue sky in contrast to the white snow really makes this image stand out!
