Just one last appeal to those CSNP members who have not committed to attend the Spring gathering in Arkansas on April 27, 28, 29. We are looking forward to a great weekend and would love for you to participate.

This is going to be a special weekend of shooting with talented photographers from our area in the beautiful Arkansas wilderness!Don't miss this chance to create a lasting memory!

I would love to make another trip down to the Buffalo but I have a show at Burr Oaks Conservation center in Blue Springs that Friday. I will have to try to make the next one.

Dale, is it your show at Burr Oaks? If it is, have a good show! You know you could drive down on friday after the show. We are shooting saturday ...

Have a great show and we'll see you next time around! :wavey:

Ok, I've been stalling on signing because I'm trying to schedule a last float on the Buffalo with my twins before they graduate. I'm still not sure when that will happen but it won't be the last weekend in April. If you will be willing to have me I'd love to come.

Thanks,
Bruce Lauderdale

Bruce, we would love to meet you and have you join us for what I expect to be a great photo weekend! Are you ok with camping or if there is room indoors, throwing down a sleeping bag? Let me know and we will work it out.

Glad to hear you are planning to attend! I'll send you some details by email on the cabin's location, driving directions and meals. I'm looking forward to meeting you. :wavey:

Camping is fine. Actually since I snore it's probably best to throw me out back, I'll scare the bears off

Welcome Bruce,
I'm camping too. That makes two of us scaring away the bears! Never know, might be more!

Wayne,
I'm in. Sorry for the late notice.
I'll be there on Saturday. Let me know where you are starting out and I'll join you there.
I have a cabin we just completed near Jasper. If I need to kick in for meals, gas, supplies etc.. just let me know.
I have a 4x Honda that can seat 8 normal people or 4 photographers.

Wayne,

Are we going to have some kind of schedule or general game plan for outings? Don't get wrong, I don't need a schedule on a trip like this. I was just wondering how this works. I'm thinking from previous discussion that we are going up Smith Creek early Saturday morning.

Good question Glenn, glad you asked. I thought we would decide as a group on Friday night but here is one thing to consider.

Tim Ernst has contacted me and offered to open up a gate and lead us into the Smith Creek area on Sunday morning, shortening the hike considerably. Sunday morning is the only time he will be available to open up for us, so I would strongly suggest that we take advantage of his offer. I personally would like to shoot in that area.

We can decide Friday night on where to shoot saturday morning and possibly select a different location for saturday night. That would give us three different shooting locations and increase our chances of a successful weekend of shooting.

Does that sound reasonable? Any suggestions, please feel free to chime in here. Thanks, Wayne :wavey:

Wayne,
I'm with you on Sunday morning. That's a very generous offer by TIm. Thanks Time. I need to save all the foot miles I can. I'm not a long distance hiker.

Friday night sounds good to me to decide the rest. We should have everyone there by that time.

The last forecast I saw showed the rainstorm breaking up on Saturday. That would be good if they are correct. Might have some real nice clouds with patches of blue. (I can dream, can't I.)The low for Friday night was 42. We'll see.
