This is a shot of the Spanish Peaks at sunset as a storm was clearing. The field in the FG smelled so good and earthy after the rain.

Kind of an oldie, but it saves me the trouble of looking deeper right now...

Late last summer a thunderstorm moved through Steamboat Springs just as the sun was setting, producing this alpenglow with rainbow scene.

From a recent trip to New Mexico. One of the most striking sky-scapes I have seen.

Here's one from Holy Cross Wilderness. I never did much with this shot as there was significant vignetting, but as my PS skills have improved, I've been going back and reworking shots that I struggled with in the past.

For Rick Dunn - Here is the shot I took the morning we met up at the Portland Japanese Gardens back in 2004! One of my favorite Portland sunrise shots.

Here's an old shot I'd forgotten about that I came across while messing around with Lightroom. It's from Little Molas Lake.

Hi guys,

This was taken back in 2001 from the balcony of a condo I used to own at Swan's Nest in Breckenridge, Colorado. I didn't realize how much I missed the mountains until I saw the shots all of you had posted.

Cheers ;^)

This was taken in early October 2006 during a Monument Valley sunrise. I shot it with a mauve filter and made some minor adjustments to color in PS. It was my first trip to Monument Valley so I had to have some classic images!

A happy snap of some mammatus clouds over Colorado Springs a couple years ago.

Snow storm decending over the Sangre De Cristo Range.
I posted this one a while back on ES&S. I've done some cropping per suggestions. Seems to fit the theme.

In celebration of my return from China two days ago (it's been so refreshing to catch up on all your wonderful cloud posts!), here's a shot of Hong Kong Harbor from 2002. I like to think of it as showing the lingering power of nature in one of the most artificial places on earth.
