I set out to skin up/ ski down Mt. Sherman this afternoon. Overall, it was an exhausting yet fun trip. I thought that I could drive up to the gate at 12,100ft, but there were drifts that made the road impassable. This forced me to skin an extra 6 mi (3 each way) to reach that trailhead...4 hours up, 20 minutes down. Let me know what you think about this photo. Any thoughts on the sunstar? Good? Bad? Misplaced? Any other nits? Even though I saved this photo for web, it looks bluer on the web than it actually is. I'm guessing that the blue is outside of the sRGB range?? Anyone know why this is happening?

Sounds like a great day, Scott. I like Darren's 2 suggestions. On the blue, try softproofing in Photoshop for sRGB and then tweaking for the web (not sure why it would look bluer but your guess sounds right).
Was this a pano you did, or is this a crop from a single frame?
That's a really nice, expansive view. The color balance looks right on to me - no unnatural blues in the snow. The sunstar works for me; the left side would be pretty stark without it.

Thanks for the suggestions. The blues look good on my calibrated Laptop. I will definitely remove the contrail (not very natural looking) Perhaps I need to let my desktop screen warm up for a bit before calibrating, this seems to help.
