Water Vole eating
D200 Sigma 500mm f4.5 ISO 320 1/500sec cropped to 4/3

Had a nice morning at the canal again, the voles seemed to be every where, that is every where the sun wasn't... But i took Rosie with me this time and she was extatic. In fact we where so close to some they where within my focus distance!

This one was nicely sat chewing away by the Tables. I would of loved to get some more images as the sun was moving around, but after 2 minutes of agony i couldnt take it any more... I had setup on a red ant nest and they didnt take kindly to a 6" 2' photographer.

Ahhhh, they're so sweet. It's the hands I think make them human like.

Thats nice... might loose a bit from the top to a more panoramic format, plus to me at least it looks like a touch more contrast wouldn't go amiss...

Great shot in nice light - I have also been doing Water Vole as my local population has recently recovered well!
