I am looking to build or have built a website to feature my work. I want something simple and easy to navigate with the option to purchase online. I would like to control all my printing so places like Smugmug are out. I want a simple feel with simple navigation. A few sites I like are Tomas Kaspar's, and Guy Tal's. Anyway, my web experiance is minimal. Can anyopne recommend a fair priced company or person to help me get this done? My hope is to add pictures often so I would just need someone to set it up and provide instruction to update. Any ideas?

Try building your own - I did it using Freeway from Softpress Systems. It's not that expensive and once you get the hang of it you're off. Ok it involves some effort but the savings in being able to update and tweak whenever you want outweighs any disadvantages imho. I built my site in a couple of weeks using their demo download, figured out I liked it and then bought the full version.

Laying it ALL out on paper before you start is vital. Decide on your navigation and colour schemes before you commence and BE LOGICAL!

BTW I am happy customer with no affiliations the company.

Hi Daniel

I'm running my website with KTools Photostore software KTools.
It's a ready to use, quite easy to install und fully cutomizable software at a very reasonable price.
It's all web based - you just login to the manager area where you can customise the configuration, upload your photos, organise them in categories ecc. Online shopping is integrated - you can sell digital files in various sizes/resolution and also create your catalog of articles.
Just take a look at their website KTools (they also have a fully functional demo site including the manager area) and find out if it may serve your needs

Reasonable, easy to use, online payment, lots of custom features, blog, guestbook page, free one month trial. This company is the best thing I've ever come across. I don't anticipate ever changing again.
