I would love some feedback on my new website which I recently got up online. My knowledge about web design is negligible so would appreciate some comments. Feel free to sign the guestbook too.

very nice, clean and professional appearing website, not much to critique here. sometimes i wish for larger images. (clicked through the tasmania gallery, as this place moves further and furhter up my list of places to go in the near future)

Very nice! The vibrancy of your colors in such usually dark light is beautiful.

Great collection of images. And I read that you started in 2005. Even more impressive. I really like those Chinese waterfall images in particular.

Kah,

What Guy said. Very well organized and easy navigation. I do have one additional comment and suggestion. This may be a bit obscure, but was noticable enough by me that I thought I would mention it. the main background through out has a lighter gray rectangular area - which sets off a few things including the top navigation bar. I like the graphic and organizational effect it has. However, there's an optical illusion that occurs (to my eye) when images are loading. The "placeholder" for each image is transparent so the main background can be seen. therefore the blank placeholder has two different shades of gray. When the image is finally loaded, there is still a presence of a line in the image. Of course this is very brief and like I said, perhaps obscure. It's like when you stare at something and then quickly look at something else, you can still see the previous image or shape? Not sure if that makes sense, but perhaps the you can make the background color a solid gray. I believe that could be done within the "IMG" tag. It may be buried in the java script but maybe you have the option of selecting a background color (for the image only) instead of a transparent one.

Lastly, and I think this is important, I couldn't find anywhere on your site where you discuss Copyrights! At a minimum, you should have Copyright statement on your site somewhere and copyright info on each image page. Something as simple as ©2007 Kah Kit Yoong.
Believe it or not, many folks think because it's on the web, it's free.

Hope this helps. congrats on a first rate site.

I really think you did a wonderful job on your site. It's very professional and easy to navigate. Unless you just want to sell to Australians, you may want to add some currency converter to your site or something. That's something that always frustrates me when I hit a foreign site that markets to other countries...but thats a bit on the minor side.

Thank you all muchly for your advice. I have been so busy lately I'm glad to have this site finally up & running. I figured that at a resolution of 600 pixels not too much can be done with people taking images. However you are quite right Lon, will have to put up some notices regarding copyright. I also noticed the 'optical illusion'. Rick I will have to add a currency converter, I have not got the paypal system up & running yet. As I am planning to display work in Australia, I just needed the guts of the site up.
