Aristrocrat Tulip
Here is a shot from my front yard. I haven't had much time to venture out this year, but I did manage to snap off a few shots last week in our front yard.

We are getting our house ready to put on the market. My husband's transfer has been approved, so we will be moving to Casa Grande, Arizona sometime this summer. We found a home down there, which is being built for us. It won't be done until near year end, but we want to get the kids in school at the beginning of the school year. We will rent a home for about six months. Casa Grande is about midway between Phoenix and Tucson, so if anyone comes that way I would love to get out and shoot with you.

I will definitely miss everyone up here and the spring flowers. I will be back every once in a while to visit, and I would like to get out at least once more with some PNWNP'ers to shoot. Any upcoming gatherings?

Nikon D70, 200iso, 105mm Macro, Polarizer, curves, levels, tripod.

Nice choice of focus and illumination. I particularly like the whites accenting the central petal.

Great shot! I would echo what Marc said, as his words speak better than what I could think of right now. I'll add that including the green bg and oof stem adds a lot to this comp. The luminosity of all is wonderful.
I, for one, will be envious of your proximity to the desert for all its amazing photo ops. So different than our blue and green PNW!

Thanks all! I am really getting excited. I will post some images of the area in the next couple weeks. I am going down on Monday - Thursday to complete the sales contract and work with the builder and pool company on specifics. I am soooooo excited!!!:jump:

Rick we will definitely have to get together at least one more time. It would be fun to get a group outing going for May sometime. Let me know when you have some time available. Everyone else is invited as well!
