Tanner Creek Detail
This was the first time I had ever been here when the water was low enough to get down near the pool where the falls flows into.

the spray in the upper left is from the waterfall and I liked the little S-curve to the water here....

Let me know what ya think...

Thanks
Darren

Very nice greens.. I have never seen a shot so close of this before... it's cool...

You've really bumped up in your photo quality, Darren. The colors, comp and processing are all really well done in this one.

I agree with Ned and Mark's comments...
Although, I'll add that it's not seriously calling to me...but it works.

Darren,

I like the 1/3 second shutter speed on this. It leaves good detail in the water and still conveys a lot of motion. That small bit of water going around the left of that rock lets me wander out of the frame a little. So I might be inclined to crop in on the left a little to help focus the eye on that cool s-curve and tighten it up a bit.

Great color and razor sharpness. It's a great study of the various elements...water, stone, plant, atmosphere and technically right on. The S-curve is good, but I'm missing some sort of entry point or defining hook to really suck me in. I think there is something there in that scene...perhaps more visits will help it reveal itself. It seems like there might be something if this was shot as a horizontal, cropping in on the four main stones with the curve leading through them?

Nice one, Darren, and I know this spot too. This is where I fell in once, scratching my watch and *sooooo* close to losing the Digital Rebel into the drink. And I was trying really hard *not* to fall, too.

Ah, my wife said about getting out and shooting, "maybe next year, dear."

Oh, yeah, Darren, this is good! I think cropping off the left to just behind the moss on the rock on the left side would make this even better. Love it! That whoosh of water in the s-curve is so compelling.

Great job processing this one. The greens are poppin and the sharpness seems right on.

Great Shot, Darren, such rich greens, it feels very realistic and damp. The composition of the rocks makes me a bit uneasy, feels off balace, but the water moving around them is awesome, enough to distract me from eveything else, therefore, I like it.
