For years I've used Corel products and was quite happy with them but a few years ago I finally went from Corel Word Perfect to MS Word and while I was not crazy about the switch I kept getting into constant file conflicts with MS Word and Excel users and they were becoming ubiquitous. It appears that the same is happening with Adobe. Does anyone have any recommendations for making the switch less painful. I suspect that the learning curve is going to be a lot steeper than it was with MS Word. It would be interesting to hear from those who have used both. Thanks.
Chuck - I've used Corel and Adobe products side-by-side for many years, but I'm not sure I understand your question. Which Corel and Adobe products are you referring to? Paint and Photoshop? What are the 'same' problems that you're seeing with Adobe?
By the same problems I was referring to the greater population of Adobe users versus the population of Corel users. It apears to me that Adobe has become the standard of the graphics business. I was most curious to find out what others thought of the two products and why they decided on the one over the other.

For me, the main reason for picking a PS version several years ago was the amount of information out there to be found. Even Walmart would carry Elements books. Books about Corel products takes some looking. Not much, with Border's and Barnes and Noble, but some. Resources on the internet were also far easier to find. Keep in mind that I made this decision 6-7 years ago and things have grown greatly since then.
Today, I stay will the Adobe products because I am used to them and, secondarily, they are the industry standard. The latter is a consideration for me as I try to learn to market my work.
