Magnolia trail in Washington park. Moderators , please bear with the image size, it's about 300 KB. Welcome your comments and suggestions.

This looks like a good documentary shot, Pradeep. I like the cascade of fallen petals. The lighting is just average, tho. This comp needs something a little more "special" to make it a standout.

Good eye for seeing this scene. It has a nice graphic flow to it. The light on the other hand is not so good. I'd try this shot again in different light and play around with the processing to enhance the graphic quality of the image.

Pradeep, I'd have to echo what Catherine & Eric said about lighting. Your center of interest here is the lovely magnolia in blossom, but it is just about entirely in the shadow. I understand it's kind of difficult to move the sun around to where you want it......keep shooting though, and keep posting. & BTW thanks for reminding us all that it's blossom season, has anyone been to the Portland rhododendron garden, by the Reed College campus?

One great photog, and i can't remeber the name, said that if your photos aren't good enough, you're not close enough. I see a lot of close up opportunities here, don't be afraid to jump in. The lighting as others have said make it too harsh.
