Dude, I don't know what to make of your images or of your thought processes(I just read them in your prior post), but.....I'm laughing out loud right now. Maybe your on to something here.
Doyle,
I sent you an email. Did you receive it?

I'll bet Jim loves this stuff. It's not for everyone, though. Could you explain more about your motivations and intent in making this image, Doyle?

Yes, Jim. I love it thanks. I especially like the phrase "New Landscapist"

Mark,
I was feeling like I had arrived to a new place in my thinking about two years ago. As I reviewed my work I saw the "pretty pictures that are nice to look at". Indeed I used that very phrase to discribe my intent. But I saw something else too, something more special in some images that I could not quite touch. Thinking led the way to understanding there is more to see in the landscape than has been seen.

Doyle, I have a feeling you are just posting these to see what kind of reactions you will conjour up....
because really, I don't think these do much for anyone!!!
and they look like you're not even trying.

I don't see it at all, Doyle. I think you're wasting film.
I'll be the contrarian here. I think I am seeing a bit of what you are going for but it just isn't quite hitting me. Printed wall sized, and with a bit tighter crop (more so on your 'flow' picture) I could possibly get lost in this for a while. Presented on the web it is hard to see.

Darren,
You don't post to see what kind of reactions you will get? Please explain why you post.

Doyle, of course there's much more to landscape photography than the 'pretty picture', but if a photograph must have one thing, it's emotion. It must evoke an emotional response from the viewer, or it fails, as with any art that is intended to be seen. This response can be one of beauty, sadness, fear, intrigue, etc. but it it must be there. The photo has to connect with the viewer on some level. It has to capture the viewer as it captures nature. There are a million ways to think outside the pretty picture box and do this, but in my opinion, this is not an image I can find a connection to on any level. But I sure am glad you're looking for something new, and exploring the reasons why YOU make pictures.

Thank you Mark,
I do respect the opinions I read here and find your latest of the most value. I have tried to respond to the comments without getting defensive I hope.
Lets consider this a dead horse. I will continue to post what I am attempting from time to time using the header "NO COMMENT REQUIRED"
I will hope that you and others will stop and look, maybe even see the "out of the box" direction I'm trying to go as the body grows.. Comment if you want to. Perhaps the path is a dead end but right now I don't think so. I feel there is beauty in what I am doing. Rather than finding the beauty in the landscape and presenting it to the viewer as "finished" my intent is to allow the viewer to find it for themselves.
