Would like some feedback on this backpack. Is it any good for one day hikes ? Can a tripod being fixed to it ?
Thanks in advance.

I was wondering the same thing. Looks great for hikes with the ability to swivel the camera compartment around. But I couldn't see how to attach a tripod although my catalogue states it can accomodate one.
I have the bigger brother, Orion AW. I actually have 2 - one for my digital SLR and another for my LF gear. On the AW, the tripod attaches to the bottom of the lower portion via two straps & buckles. This means that the tripod is horizontal rather than vertical, and if you have a large tripod it can be akward, especially in tight spots.
I personally like the design of the Orion bags. The detachable arrangement lets me use the lower and upper parts together for day hikes; for backpacking trips, I use only the lower part worn around front so as not to interfere with my backpack. The quality is very good, and being able to rearrange the layout of the internal dividers lends a lot of versatility to the bag.
I have a LowePro pack that I've added a couple of velcro straps to the side that I use for attaching the tripod rather than using the ones on the bottom of the pack. It works well.
