I popped down to the local river yesterday before sun rise,I nearly stepped on the chicks which were hidden in the grass,The sun had yet to come over the moutains but the sky coloured the river nicely,The shutter speed was long due to the lack of light and this is the only keeper even though the back chick has movement in the head

The early morning light makes this very different to the usual shots of ducks with chicks - calm and gentle.
