A friend of mine is seriously considering buying her first digital camera. She has some older Canon lenses, which ones I do not know.
She asked me if they would work on a Canon digital camera, and not being a Canon shooter I plead ignorance.
I have been told in the past by Canon users that Canon does not change its lens mount and the older lenses can be mounted on newer cameras. Is this still the case?
Thanks!

The definition of "older" here is pretty important. If the lenses are for an EOS body, they will work with Canon's digital bodies. If they are FD mount lenses, they will not.

Since I am guessing you are not a Canon shooter, ask her this question: Are the lenses autofocus or (manual focus only)? The autofocus are EOS lenses and the manual focus are FD lenses.

Correction...The Canon autofocus lenses are EF lenses.
