My husband and I went to Gatlinburg this weekend. It snowed Sunday. Actually it was mostly rain. I spent the morning in Cades Cove, he slept in. After lunch, since the rain was steady and I was tired of constantly wiping the lens, we decided to just drive the Roaring Fork Motor Nature trail. When we got to Bud Ogle's cabin, the snow was really coming down! We continued along the road, and I got several shots like this of the snow along the river and on the leaves. We learned the next morning that 441 was closed so we had to come home the other way. I still didn't think much about the storm until I got home to find our power out. I called someone from work, and got the worst news an insurance adjuster can have...hundreds of claims have been reported! I processed this quickly to let you guys see what it looked like. It will probably be awhile before I can process any others. I'll check back in when I can.

This is really beautiful. Roaring Fork is quite stunning in the snow!

This is one of my favorites of yours. Very well thought out and executed-oh and also very pretty I thought about you wondering how swamped you would be from this past week! Crazy crazy spring this year.
