Light & Shadow, Death Valley
This image I took in early January, 2006, during a sunrise shoot.

Mother nature didn't co-operate much. Wind didn't blow the night before, hence there were no ripples. May be next time!!!

Canon EOS 1Ds, 90mm TSE. Global corrections in Adobe Lightroom, few asjusment layers in Photoshop CS2.

Thanks in advance.

Subrata,

I think the composition is nice. It looks like there is a serious cyan cast that is especially evident in the sky. I would also like to see a touch more detail in the large shadowed area in the lower right.

I think this image would work nicely with some color and tonal corrections and some better sharpening.

From a workflow standpoint, you might consider sticking with PSCS2 and doing all of your adjustments using that program. It looks like there is some noise in your image that may have come from using LR to make global adjustments and then using PS to make further corrections. Just my 2-cents.

Hi Subrata,

The sensual curves and the interplay of light and shadow are the main draw for me here. I also like how the distant mountains provide a nice backdrop. The only thing that I have a problem with here is the sky.
