Hi, everyone.

I'm an amateur photographer in Boca Raton, FL.

I'm thinking of traveling to the Smokies for a few days this Fall in
September or October.

Do you know of anyone you would recommend who would act as a guide for me? I'm thinking about three full days of going out at sunrise, taking pics til 10 or 11am, then taking a break, and then going out for another couple of hours in the late afternoon.

Here's my stuff: http://picasaweb.google.com/LanceWarley

BTW, we just got home from Zion and Bryce...unbelievable.

Thanks.

Hey bud, I'm from Miami, and will be in the smokies next week. I will be putting up a trip log on my website with lots of details, so you can check that out in a month or so when its up!

Hey Lance,

There are usually some fall workshops being done by various photographers in the Smokies. Matter of fact two of the moderators for this forum, Jerry Greer and Richard Bernabe, usually do a fall outing but I don't know if they are offering one this year. There also may be a SENP get together sometime in the fall to meet up and shoot some in the smokies.

Another alternative is to look at a good guide on photographing in the Smokies called "The Smoky Mountains Photographer's Guide" by Bill Campbell and Nye Simmons (also active on the forum here) which I would highly recommend. Just read the blurbs on the back of the book which should convince you it is a great tool, especially for someone unfamiliar wth the area.

I second the use of the Smoky Mountains Photographers Guide. I use it all the time and it's very helpful and easy to use.
