Dog Creek Falls
Just a little waterfall off Hwy 14 in Washington

nice work Darren! I've been trying to get a keeper of this falls for years, but the light is always crappy, or the foliage is cruddy, or some other poor excuse

My only nit here is that the greens seem a tad oversaturated.

BTW, that plunge pool is a spawning ground for salmon. Hit it in October and you'll probably catch a few shots of spawners.

I have to second Curtis Knight regarding saturation.....I wonder if his comment applies to cyans and yellows also......the oversaturation gives this image the quality of (non-photograph) illustrations in old books, is this intentional?....comp is wonderful....

Perfect comp. and exposure as usual Darren. I'd be willing to explore this stream from the top-end via bushwhack to view more of its course. It looks to go flat at the top of the falls and suggests a patch of still water up-stream... There might be a garden up there?

Darren, Nice shot, I have tried several there and no keepers. I have a hiking book that says there are several more falls up beyond this one. It says to go up the left side of this one. :jump: :jump:
