Hi All,
This is an Early Spider orchid from Samphire Hoe in Kent. I went for something a bit different with the wide angle effect. Does it in all honesty work?
The strong diagonal BG distracts from the image rather than adding to it.
It's always good to try something a little different though

Hi Chris, I can see where you're going with this but I don't think its worked. It may have worked better looking skyward from the base of the plant with a little fill-in flash or reflector to bring out the flowers (which are a little lost). Great find though. I haven't come across these before.

Chris,
I like wide angle macros, they can result in a really unique take on standard macro shots, but as Rob said, the background in this one just doesn't work for me, it's too distracting.
