I have a D70 and am noticing a couple spots on many of my new images. I bought the camera new just after it came out and have not cleaned the sensor yet. (It kind of scares me playing around in there.) Can I get some suggestions of the easiest/best way to clean it?

Thanks

Don,

I've been using Dust-Aid and have been happy with it so far. You can also do a Google search on Sensor Cleaning and come up with a ton of stuff. Popular methods include fine, soft nylon brushes, sensor swabs with the cleaning fluid, and the Sensor Klear pen sold here at NPN. I use several methods, depending on the problem. Right now I'm using Dust-Aid for regular dust and either the Sensor-klear pen or the swab and liquid method for tougher stains and welded-on dust.

I've started using the Delkin Sensorscope and cleaning kit. It''s a bit pricy, but it's nice to see what's really on your sensor.

I hear this Dust-Aid is sold out by the manufacturer? Did you find it at a vendor or second source? How easy was it to use? The directions look simple from what I saw.

I got it from the Dust-Aid site before they sold out. It's as easy to use as the directions state. They even have a short movie of the procedure.

I'm using Visibledust's Arctic Butterfly Sensorbrush for dry cleaning the sensor. It is very easy to use and it works fine for me.
