I was messing around with some stuff I took last year in Zion. I had worked some up before but decided to try new processing techniques I've since learned. What do you think of this result?
Pam - I like the diagonal flow of elements in the scene. The red rock, the wash, and the foreground work well together. The trees on the right feel a bit chaotic; I think they could work well if the light were more complimentary, making the red rock glow as it often can.
You mention new processing techniques that you were trying - was there something specific that you were working on - e.g., dodging, burning, blending, etc. - that you're looking for comments on?

Sorry Pam this just doesn't do anything for me, what were you trying to capture here?

145-2 speaks volumes. Thanks to you Rick for being a good moderator and giving me a token response. Naw, nothing specific that I was looking for regarding the processing. This quite obviously is not jaw-dropping photography...just a trifle seen in Zion.
Thanks Jody and no apology needed. I have no deep explanation other than it was there on the side of the road.
If you'll excuse me, I have to go check my make up, put on my pearls, and scurry to get my mans slippers and newspaper
